For NGC's 'Big Cat Week' 2014, I thought it would be cool to go with a painterly, more expressive approach. Carefully hand painting each frame was really fun for the frames, and then they chose the concept, and we had to animate.....frame by frame......painting. It was pretty daunting, but once we got our workflow down it wasn't too bad. Photoshop's animation settings made it a pretty straight-forward process.
